Finding a voice
If you had to rank what you truly want in order of preference, it is a fair bet that young people would put ‘first-hand experience’ at the top. No amount of ‘being told how the world is’ will ever be more attractive than finding out for yourself. You believe things when you can see, touch, taste, smell or feel them – emotionally or physically.
The problem is, the world can be a cruel and lonely place, unsafe and unfair and you don’t gain experience by being removed from it. No one wants to live a life limited by the consequences of poor decisions. You are connected to the rest of the world, shaped by the experience of others yet you are unique. What you can do, is find your own voice, create your own story and live your own life.
This website is a place to start – to share what you have learned, to find out what others know and to define your own life issues. In other words, a place to start finding your own ‘Voice for Life’.
